Located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Community Medical Center Healthcare Sysytem is a 273-bed acute care hospital specializing in comprehensive cardiac services, orthopedic services, women’s services, radiological services, behavioral health programs and a broad range of other surgical services. CMC focuses on technology driven medicine and advanced compassionate care. Requirements

  • Re-Design and Develop state of the art, metrics-oriented, user-friendly “Community Medical Center” website that provides site visitors with easily accessible and useful information”
  • Integrate and update Homepage Slideshow
  • Develop 3D Virtual Tour of facility
  • Integrate consumer health content from provider chosen by CMC

  • Search Engine Optimize the site and develop  “Quality” Link Building Campaign with other reputable Healthcare sites
  • Monitor Web Analytics regularly and provide monthly reports and strategize with CMC’s Marketing Team
  • Develop Employee / Physician Community Portal which would give the hospital the ability to offer Continuing Education Courses to employees

The Results

  • The new site was custom built from the ground up for CMC using a highly modified version of WordPress Content Management System, including over 250 dynamic sidebars; a WebMedSpace driven CMS , with several customs mods created by Zen to handle the Employee/Physician portal; and over 500 man hours of labor.
  • As part of Zen’s briefing, the planning of CMC’s site structure was an integral stage of the project. In close coordination with CMC, we created over 25 wireframes and over 100 of pages of sitemaps and flow charts to ensure a logical order to the complex nature of the healthcare departments and service lines, thus allowing the presentation to the general public to be simple and easy to understand.
  • The improved site organization and search engine optimization already show promise, as the visitor numbers are up 47% and the bounce rate has decreased 41%
  • With a “Click to Call” feature in place on all service line pages, CMC is able to track those who use the feature and place a Cost Margin(CM) per site visitor
